– Gathering information about the student’s academic history
– Determining areas of interest, strengths and weaknesses for the student
– Discussing the student’s post-secondary  goals as well as those of the parent(s)
– Reviewing transcript, test results and other academic records
– Providing a general outline of counseling services and process as needed on an individual basis
– Recommending additional tests, courses and/or activities for the student
